We are a community built on a simple idea: failure is not the opposite of success, it is part of it. Together we can turn our setbacks into something that helps others.
FanOfFailure started with a conversation between friends who had each been through a rough patch – a lost job, a failed start-up, a move that did not work out. What surprised them was not how hard those experiences had been, but how much better they felt once they finally talked about them. Each of them had been carrying the same quiet shame, and each had learned something that could have saved the others months of struggle.
That conversation became a habit, then a gathering, and eventually a community. Seeing a real need for honest, energetic work in our area, we formed FanOfFailure to give people a place to share what went wrong, learn from it, and then put those lessons to work by helping others. We have grown steadily ever since, thanks to the helping hands of the people who show up.
Our team is a mix of regulars and part-time volunteers from all walks of life: students, parents, career changers, retirees and small-business owners. What we share is a commitment to helping others and a willingness to be honest about our own stumbles. We take our convictions and turn them into action.

Storytellers contribute honest accounts of things that did not go to plan, so readers can learn the lesson without paying the full price.
Supporters share our work, introduce us to partners and help us reach the people who need a reminder that one failure is not the end.
A setback tells you something you did not know before. We help people ask better questions about what happened, instead of simply asking “what is wrong with me?”
When one person shares a real story, it gives everyone else permission to do the same. That openness is the foundation of everything we do.
Helping others is one of the most reliable ways to rebuild confidence. That is why our mission pairs storytelling with life-changing volunteer experiences.
We focus on making the maximum positive effort for our community and on solutions that make a long-lasting difference, not just a good headline.
